    Questions on Android phones?

Only Motorola phones have been locked down. But you can still Root it. You can also Modify your phone, and if you need to replace it they will replace it as long as they don't know that its been rooted. Also, there is a reason they lock down the bootloader and stuff. See this scenario : A...

Oh well, I guess its subjective. @raksrules, I myself am on seedwave, that's why the above comment. I guess you must be on one of the cheaper boxes. @Nemesis, the 24 hour window exists for a reason. Sent from my SGH-T959

Hot News! Android Marketplace in India now supports PAID APPS in Indian Rupees! YAY

Re: Hot News! Android Marketplace in India now supports PAID APPS in Indian Rupees! Y So you feel paying Rs. 200 - Rs. 300 is expensive for any app which adds a lot of utility to the phone, but buying the phone itself is not as expensive? Jeez that's 1/10th the cost of a seedbox slot. Reminds...

If you update to official froyo, you will loose root as well as any kernel mods. I suggest you to wait for a custom ROM based on froyo.

That's the normal/only way to disable lagfix, the earlier adb/shell instructions are to CONFIRM if the lagfix is disabled or not.. don't want to enter a world of unnecessary pain.. :P

What are you using to backup your ROM? Anyways it seems that you've successfully backed it up.. Just make sure, before flashing/installing any firmware update or any other ROM, disable Voodoo lagfix. Otherwise you'll end up getting really really frustrated. If you Voodoo Lagfix, and then you...

HTC Desire vs Samsung Galaxy S

Exactly my point. If you're actually going to wait for HTC to launch it officially in India, you're gonna stay behind.

HTC Desire vs Samsung Galaxy S

    A) Technology gets outdated fast. Agreed. But, why buy a phone that was released in March 2010, when you can wait for a month to get the latest version? If you're actually going to wait for HTC to release it officially in India, then you're going to stay behind. Dual core phones will come soon...

Cans better than TF10 IEM in 35K?

IMO, a properly driven HD800/T1 will have the best soundstage obviously. I managed to listen to them for over an hour since the table which had both, was empty, people were more interested in LCD2 and customs. What I found ; HD800 was more neutral, T1 had slight warmth in mids that made it more...

HTC Desire vs Samsung Galaxy S

The thing is, when Gingerbread comes out, rumors are that it will use GPU acceleration. So in that case, the Desire will lag behind. Not to mention, the Desire's chip is based on old architecture, 65nm, so the new phones' battery life and overall performance will be better as well. And yes...

Cans better than TF10 IEM in 35K?

Highest end custom's will offer better soundstage than highest end cans, unless you have a good source and good amplification. Even then, customs such as JH13/JH16 and UM Miracle will offer excellent soundstage. But obviously, its easier and better heard using headphones. But the highest end...

HTC Desire vs Samsung Galaxy S

The Orion will take till next fall to come to the market. For now IMO, the Galaxy S is a winner, Froyo is already out if you know where to look. Its coming out officially on the 23rd. The Desire has old hardware, with a bad GPU. If you really want to get a phone now, IMO, its between the Galaxy...

FINALLY, the WORLD gets a GSM EVO...ANYONE EXCITED...??

Yes, my bad, both will have 2.2. Although some sites are still saying that the Desire Z will release with 2.1, and 2.2 will follow in an update, which honestly doesn't make sense, since the US version, the G2 will have 2.2 (although stock experience) I think HTC will take quite some time for...
