Desire Z should have great battery life thanks to its 45nm SoC. My G2 gets me around 14-24 hours depending on usage, which is almost double of my Vibrant(Galaxy S). I'm very impressed with the G2's battery life. I don't see why Desire Z should be any different.

I don't use any screen protectors. Bought a case from casemate ; expensive but worth it, added quite a bit of heft and weight and top notch protection as well.

It was demo'ed at CanJam. I myself heard it, its brilliant, but only worth if you know you're not going to change the setup, or use your custom's on the go. It was scheduled to come out later this year, but it got delayed as one of their engineers decided to leave and they hired another guy...

I was using the Vibrant before I got the G2. Its perfectly comfortable to carry it around in the pocket.. the phone is not as bulky as you think.. especially for one having a hardware QWERTY..

Na, IMO Desire Z and G2 look better. Droid 2 R2-D2 edition is also awesome! :D

The form factor is a tablet, but the hardware and the OS are very similar.. infact outside of the US, the Tab can even make phone calls like your regular phone.
