Friends, one week ago i had suggested a configuration for my friend. i suggested a 450 w PSU from CM or corsair.. and any dell monitor with 1440x900 resolution...but while he was away from home his dad went and took the comp for him...:( now he is stuck with a dell s1909w with only 1366x768...

my friend needs a good monitor to go with radeon 4770... his budget is around 7-8k max... is there any monitor with 1600x1050 resolution in that range.... or will he be forced to settle for 1440x900... how is LG.... dunno if dell and benq is available in kerala.. but please suggest from them...

Dude that really is sad.... would have looked for a trade if it was for just under 10k... my friend got a comp but didnt buy a gfx crd coz the dealer quoted a ridiculous 9.8k for a 9800gt.. Its in kerala and dealers hardly know any shit about graphics.. moreover they squeeze out as much margin...

Very sad thing that all the AIB's went for the cheaper cooling solution... The standard one that is given by Ati is a really good dual slot external exhausting one... Like the 4870... its a pity coz the reviews with that cooler managed to overclock memory upto 1ghz and the other retail cooler...

Thanks for all the suggestions... if its around 7k then i'm plonking for it.. BTW i saw that the reference cooler was similar to the one used in the 4870.. that performed decently enuf.. will i really need an aftermarket solution??? the 4850 had a really shitty 1 slot cooler with absolutely Zero...
