Its fine, NextWorld used to do similar checks randomly. Logically every vendor should. You can simply send the required docs and this will go ahead.

I have never bought from them but coming from NimBuzz; I do not see any apparent risk. Though I suggest to 1) Opt for COD if its there 2) Else pay by credit card (so that you can chargeback if required) Though I doubt there will be any issues;
