disable netbios....amd block lan surfing thru firewall (outgoing + incoming) i m guessing he has already put a trojan in ur pc....scan pc with good antivirus or trojan remover updated to latest database. ask ur network operator to change ur lan ip. in case of emergency just disable lan...

yea DC++ is the best . but its difficult to find out the hubs in ur lan. anyone got any way to find hubs in lan?? ... i tried looking for standard dc++ port 411 thru ip scanner but still get no results even if the hubs are running.

only if u give access to change files on sharing....then u r prone to attacks. yes u need a good firewall...disabling guest acc...in XP wud be a good thing. and dc++ is least vulnerable to attacks :)
