Took it to the dealer and got it checked. Apparently it was not fitting properly earlier into the pcie slot. Weird coz there was no beeps while booting and the fan was running well. It works, and man....what a difference !! Neverwinter nights 2 earlier on my 7200 GS , all settings low, 1024...

Dont have another comp to check and yes the fan spins alright. No weird booting sounds, so assuming its placed in the pcie slot correctly.

Problem is I find it hard to make the customer service guy understand the problem. He says, "Speed is fine, then what is the problem you are facing?". Same connection used to give 400 less latency 3 months back. Dont understand... I am thinking of moving to BSNL. Hope that will make things better.
