Here you go. These settings seem to work for me perfectly. Only problem is that I have to run the Sound Effect Manager at Startup and change the setting to "Customized" manually. Havent found a way of getting this done automatically. If you figure out something, lemme know.

If you have an ASUS mobo, you can try fiddling with the Sound Effect Manager from the Control Panel. I can post a screenshot of my settings if you want. Seems to work perfectly for me.

Hey, coolcrook, just remembered one more thing. Enabling AA in your nVidia control panel seems to do this. Have you enabled AA? If so, set it to "Application controlled" and try. The same problem exists with Halo also.

What is the current system time showing as? Sometimes if the battery on your mobo is dead, the time will display as 01-01-1980 or some such thing, which most software recognize as invalid. You will need to replace the button cell on your mobo in that case.
