For my room, 1 ton is not enough.

What I think is that putting rs.4000 is better option as any new good AC does not come below Rs.25000/- and if i get the AC coils changed by the engineer, the AC would become almost new as it is the coils only that leak and if that is new, then everything is leak free. What's yr take?

I don't think that these will be having huge difference as you will loose warranty on these products and secondly the rupee has appreciated a lot. So check out in dinar terms before buying. And reg. custom duty, products upto Rs.25000/- are duty free and above that you will have to pay duty...

I would recommend you Sony as it is a more reliable co. and samsung is using cheap / Chinese material in its products and therefore it does not last as long as Sony does. Can you give the price at which you are getting these so that people can help you find better deals.
