Yes I got the Mi Nas 25 as recommended and a second hand 4GB Ram. Also will be running it with 2x 1TB hard drives right now and adding a 4TB one soon.

Thought of getting a big drive to backup all the data. Just a thought not finalised. I have two 1TB hard drives and a 500GB hard drive. The 1TB hard drives are almost full so wanted to clear them out. Was looking at prices not sure i will go with it

Actually the media server function is just one of the functions i plan to implement in the system. Data backup being one of them. Second thing is i have a desktop which does consume a lot of power. Would not want to keep it ON always. My router does not have a usb port
