Yes that is the one.are you looking for SD install or internal memory install??this thread is for internal memory.it will remove you stock rom. I have not used SD ROM but using SD ROM you can dual boot to stock or custom.

Try verygreen's CM 11 rom.GEL seems to lag on hd+.Verygreens rom is faster and smoother than succulent's and it has a launcher almost similar to GEL but not even slightest lag.I swear for normal usage i can compare this to my nexus 4!!

cyanogenmod 11 for hd+ is out.Try ART.Its a huge difference compared to 10.1.3

install a custom rom on hd+ and lag is minimum.Also,stable 4.4 will be out for hd+ within a month, that should help. Where are you getting it for 8.2k??Rememer that the new ones sold on ebay are refurbished.

Ofcourse for kindle fire 8.9 i was talking about after flashing a rom.It seems to have more development too.But as you said all depends on usage. I would have considered hdx 8.9 if there was a custom rom available.From a hardware perspective,it is really a marvel. Lets see when it gets a price...
