I don't think Windows 7 is and should be sold for retail anywhere as the product is well beyond it's 'end of life'. Windows 7 will be fine as long you don't connect to the internet. But it's obsolete and possibly vulnerable for cyber attacks as there ate no more any security updates and patches...

Yes the outdoor unit should create better cooling in the room and somewhat earlier if placed under the shade. With the ongoing heatwave all over the nation, any AC with however high BTU and BEE rating would struggle for certain amount of time before the cooling effect is felt.

Yeah analog is anytime better. The scale at least be reset to 0 or the +/- units and perhaps still usable practically.
