Only works for hybrid slot. If the phone doesnt have connections to read the micro sd, nothing can work. These adaptors were common during the early Xiaomi days.

Get a good grip on DSA and problem solving. Get proficient in JS. This alone will open multiple SDE-I level roles at startups for you. Docker, Kubernetes etc you can learn while working, these are not a requirement for entry level devs for most roles. You can move towards full stack slowly...

Yes, battery replacement is possible. Apple charges a bomb for it, but this can be done easily done for ~2k from a local repair shop, if you trust the battery quality from the shop.
