My advice would be to stick with M3. You could get RE262 under 7k but you might miss the bass. SQ of M3 is already at a point beyond which you could only get minor improvements. If you already like M3, chances are you may not find something more expensive worth the money.

Tell 'him' that if he's really into high-end games then a gaming desktop would be a much better option. But if a desktop is not feasible or if he needs a laptop regardless then he may go forward with it. (BTW OP = you = Original Poster) Try Sager, Malibal etc.
