Finally got it fixed, it was my onboard Azalia HD sound which was enabled. Had to disable it. Mods can close this thread. Thanks for replying everybody who did.

^^there's no 2.1 over there, there's 5.1, and 7.1. Changed to desktop speakers, still no luck.

Hi, Just installed this game, Steam took 4 hours to update it :S however, when i played it there's no sound. Everything else is fine with the sound. I have creative sb 5.1. Tried to find anything related to this in Steam, however no joy. Can anybody help? :huh:

^^If i were you, i wouldn't have worried, not atleast for another year. True, this card does get outperformed during lower resoutions, but turn up the resolution and you'll see the true performance of this card.
