    Advice on RPi4 Jellyfin Setup

Thanks for the useful advice, everyone! I've moved the setup to another room, connecting it to a power strip backed by the inverter. The wires are all over the places cuz its next to the router, modem, printer, etc - but it's running a little cooler and my heart doesn't skip a beat thinking of...

Ah, I'm looking into reverse proxy as well. I'm currently on tailscale, only hosting jellyfin at the moment with 1-2 users apart from myself, and setting up a reverse proxy seems to be the next big exciting thing to move onto- that and maybe something like immich once I get something better than...

The book I am reading currently

Discworld is fantastic, and such a joy to read. You're going to have so much fun, I'm envious.

The book I am reading currently

That's what converted me from a skeptic! It was so good! I'll always prefer the written word, but when some books are said to be elevated in audio like Project Hail Mary (and from what I've heard, the Dresden files and the First Law books), it does get me interested. Excellent way to reread...

The book I am reading currently

Just finished Mistborn and was satisfied with how he stuck the landing- I'm looking forward to the other books in the Cosmere. Bu I think I'll read some non-fantasy stuff from the books I already own first. If you liked LitRPG, then I would suggest checking Cradle out. It's quite satisfying and...

I was just recently reading about Graphene OS for Pixel 6a, and wondering what it would be like to switch to it- I finally chickened out and told myself that I'd play around with it when I upgraded or found a spare phone first. I've been looking to privacy-conscious stuff myself lately, but have...

    Air Fryer - Healthy Options?

Is that safe? I was doing it for a bit before something random I came across suggested it wasn't, and it's become a bit of an inconvenience since.

    English TV series discussion

I do think 'redpill' stuff is seeping into India as well, at least the metros. I remember conversing with an old schoolmate of mine, and he mentioned how Andrew Tate (who seems to have credible evidence against him for sick stuff) was right about 'some things' like how women are making loads of...

The book I am reading currently

I've got the first two books on Audible, since I heard good things about the series on r/Fantasy. How would you place in terms of genre/theme? The only other LitRPG I've read is the Cradle series- I think all the books were free when the last book came out, so I picked them up. I just started...

Suggestions for Jellyfin Setup on Pi4

The YAMS guide uses docker, so I should be fine on that front. I've used it before, but I'll try and get the hang of it better this time, maybe try to use portainer alongside it as well. Yeah, saw how playback got affected when a 4K syncplay for two users (no transcoding) kept buffering for...

Storage Solutions Giving up on Jellyfin server, 2nd HDD Failed in 1 year time, what am I doing wrong?

The open source idea of Jellyfin makes me inclined to stick with it, somehow. Although I have heard people saying Plex is better in some respects.

Storage Solutions Giving up on Jellyfin server, 2nd HDD Failed in 1 year time, what am I doing wrong?

I've also never come across any issues while running it locally from my windows laptop, apart from my own stupidity while trying to find the server on my local network from other devices. Hoping to slowly tinker my way upto running it with tailscale/reverse proxy someday.

Storage Solutions Giving up on Jellyfin server, 2nd HDD Failed in 1 year time, what am I doing wrong?

Damn, Jellyfin has bugs that bad? Had no idea. Was thinking of using it with OMV on a Pi4 I have. Any (free) alternatives you would know of?

Alternatives to the AKG 92/Ath M20X?

My AKG 92 headphones finally fell apart, with the headband finally withering away. Almost bought a second pair before seeing some reviews which said there were better alternatives, the Ath M20X being one. I'm mainly looking over ear comfortable headphones for media consumption, light (single...
