Yes, that was the issue. The IMEI was different from what is there under the battery. Followed [HOW TO] /efs Folder backup + Restore NV_DATA.BIN - xda-developers this guide and restored the IMEI number and unlocked the phone using the Helroz unlock tool. All set. Thanks you... :)
