Options to get stuff shipped from China...Lets discuss

Yep, Molicel cells, I use them in all my flashlights. Unfortunately they don't make a 26650.

Options to get stuff shipped from China...Lets discuss

Problem with these generic cells are the unavailability of datasheets/reviews (if the datasheet is at all truthful). The first one is actually a 26700 (71mm length), out of spec for a 26650 but the datasheet does claim a 3C continuous discharge at certain temperature range. Sharvi cells do...

Options to get stuff shipped from China...Lets discuss

Does anyone have a good source for 26650 Li-Ion (not LFP) cells? Indiamart has some suppliers, as long as they don't have some stupid high(10+) minimum order quantity, I'll be willing to consider. I see a few available from Wurkkos (Chinese flashlight manufacturer), and they apparently send the...

    Android 14 Officially Launched

This feature has been available in gmail for ages now, here's an article from 2008 https://www.wired.com/2008/09/-forgotten-attachment-detector-stops-some-gmail-gaffes/ . Rather simple to implement as well, but I'd assume the detection algorithm has improved over time. It's a simple enough...

    The "Everyday" show-off thread !

Yeah, Anduril/2 are pretty common in the world of custom flashlights. Pretty much one button does it all, with patterns going up to 11 continuous clicks for some action. One example would be 3 clicks from off, the light reads out the battery voltage by flashing the emitters (A.B volts would be A...

Emisar D4V2, 8x 3w 365nm uv LEDs, with ZWB2 filter pre-installed. Almost no visible light even at turbo (sock illuminated because it fluoresces, headphone clamp is not). This thing is a beauty, feels incredible to hold. Runs on Anduril2, can be flashed.

Android Cheapest 5G phone to use as hotspot?

    1. Replacing the battery with a fixed voltage (say 4v) source is a good bet, as long as you don't try to charge. A lot of heat is produced from charging the battery as well as power conversion, you're essentially eliminating that. 2. Cell phones cram a lot of tech in a smaller volume, hence...

    PC Peripherals Reliable mouse

That's my experience even today. My Logitech pebble scroll wheel was dead, took the mouse apart, then the rotary encoder, cleaned the contacts inside with isopropyl alcohol and cotton swab, works without issues. Fixed my Corsair harpoon double clicking by soldering new aftermarket switches...

Need help buying a smart plug

RMS, for an electrical measurement, is the DC equivalent of AC. The formal definition goes something like for a purely resistive load, if an AC is applied across it, the DC required to produce an equivalent amount of power dissipation is the RMS (root mean square). Think of it like a fancy average.

Need help buying a smart plug

Did you perhaps check the voltage or current? The big number in the middle is KWh consumed today, as the screenshots were taken about 30s apart, that's not going to change.

Need help buying a smart plug

The polycab smart plugs are calculating RMS. They are equipped with BL0937 chip, which does RMS voltage and current, as well as active power calculation. As for experimental proof, here's my polycab 10A plug connected to my server, tested from mains and UPS.

Is Jio Throttling 4G Speed to push 5G !!! ???

Fixed internet/wifi service that uses 5g as the backend, not fiber like traditional broadband. https://www.jio.com/jcms/airfiber/

Is Jio Throttling 4G Speed to push 5G !!! ???

They probably have allocated a significant portion of the bandwidth for Airfiber/5g as 4g subscription has almost saturated, and 5g/Airfiber take more precedence as the halo product.

Is Jio Throttling 4G Speed to push 5G !!! ???

In my experience, jio 5G is available even in small villages (in plains, unsure about hills), and I get upwards of 300Mbps there, inside the house (very few 5G users). In my state, I can force phone to 5G only mode and not lose signal anywhere (anecdotally). Latency is remarkably stable too.

    [Unofficial] EVGA Techpowerup Thread

Even as an Indian tech enthusiast, my experience with evga has been exactly 0. They didn't sell their GPUs here, and had limited PSU stocks. If anything went wrong with your PSU, you'd have to ship it to Acro for repairs. I'm all for supporting good companies, but I find it hard to care about a...
