it is not recommended to overclock a processor whose multiplier is locked by intel itself. as brenden mentioned, it is better to get 4570k or 4670k with a good z87 board.

avoid xfx and msi. look for sapphire,asus ,gigabyte,HIS etc. i dont think you have to pay anything higher than 5k for 6850.similar performing 7770 is available at 7.6k locally . crysis 3 is a very demanding game. it will work with g2020 + 6850 with some changes in the settings. i5 will offer...

g2020 can handle 6850 without any bottlenecks. dont under estimate the power of g2020 just becuase it is called pentium:lol:. they are powerful enough unless you wanted to play crysis 3 on ultra settings 1080p with all eye candy settings.

sure. those apps support open cl/cuda acceleration and will be benefited from an amd/nvidia gpu. i suggest to get amd gpu as it has far better open cl performance.

not exactly true. currently sli is supported only on z87 boards on lga1150 paltform.

try to find a used 6850 under your budget.

b85 motherboards are available online. and i5 is a much better cpu than i3 and is worth the upgrade over your current setup.
