But in the case of my cousin rig he is having Phenom955 with Ati 4890 he gets better FPS in DX10 than in DX9. :hap2: Can you please do a quick bench of crysis at 1280x1024 with high and very high setting every thing at stock no overclock. :)

No extra program is installed and is not running.

I was getting 55 fps in 4870 and getting 67 fps in 5870. Are this much performance gains acceptable ? These are done in crysis at 1280 x 1024 resolution with high setting.

Will a PCIE 2.0 x16 or PCIE 2.0 x8 pci slot will make the difference ?

After trying few games and new hardware...Phenom 965 and Msi 790fx board. Still same results. There is still perfromance lag. A rig with Phenom 955, 790gx mb and 4890 perfroms better than mine. Tried new SMPS also no differnce, Tried catalist 9.9,9.10 all the drivers from msi, ati sites still...

Combo sold for 16.5k on other forum to a friend. Thanks guys.
