Got Altec Lansing VS4121, not too happy with it because my ears start paining after listening to it. The bass is just too much for my ears. I think I should try keeping the speakers a bit farther than it is now, next to my desktop.

That saved me some head slamming and relieved me of a 4-month worry! Left satellite is dead, I've another thread on this, but can you suggest me good speakers? I am looking for Philips MMS 430, AL VS 4121 (manufacturing has been stopped)... something in the same range.
