Get the MB if you need to use the MagicBright feature ( offers preset modes for games/internet/movie and stuff ). Personally I've never bothered to use them so far. Both of them offer similar max resolution & frequency setup so there should'nt be any other technical differences between them.

You need the latest Java SDK - you can download the same from http://java.sun.com. You will also find the SDK related documentation and much more related stuff there. Java2D != Java. Java2D is a part of the Java SDK - you can use that library to do cool 2d based animation and stuff like that.

Solved this problem, found out that I had goofed up with the front usb port connections :ashamed:

The problem is resolved now :) Installed the game patch and its running smooth for hours together. Am using XG71.89 drivers, the temperatures seem to have come down a bit - especially the idle temperatures. The idle temps using Forceware 71.89 was hovering around 65-68, now at 58-62.
