The price is fine for a phablet IMO. The only other real alternative is the Note 4 which is upwards of 58k. In fact, I'd even say the price is awesome for such specs.

Samsung devices often perform far worse than their hardware is capable of thanks to their insanely heavy Touchwiz skin bogging everything down. The Note 4 might be faster in benchmarks but in day to day usage, the Z3 most likely pulls ahead.
