its same across, they gave good amount of space between each drive for the air to pass. In doing so, they did it on up and down aswell. There is absolutely no noise suppression and rubber things, the drives were rattling like anything! Had to apply the velcro to calm them down.

1.14L . Didn't really liked their OS (Its pretty much bare minimum). Tried Xpenology, Unraid and then settled in again on Truenas Scale! only reason is the size, else a custom PC would have costed less than 50k! Easier to shove in a cabinet.

if you are new to NAS OS, search for Xpenology. Its Synology OS for custom devices. Installation is little time taking but maintenance and use is very easy. 2nd option is Unraid: only select if you are mixing drives. 3rd option is Truenas: little technical but ZFS and snapshots are a huge life...

i think that is applicable only for NAS devices that are released in 2025, that's *25 series. They are enforcing the use of Synology HDD's and cannot use Seagate/WD drives without loosing some features.
