    7-8 of my friends and colleagues bought this phone. None of them knew what cynogenmod is. I don't think it's as bigger a selling point in India at least.

    That's true for other manufacturers. CM never releases region specific software. Even OnePlus has said that they will provide guides to flash CM/OTA if customer wants to stick with CM.

    It is still not clear how Cynogen are gonna block OTAs for Indian phones because there is no difference between global version and Indian version hardware wise. If they block it based on region, it would not matter where you bought your phone from, you won't receive OTA.

    I bought phone using hdfc credi card. But I didn't receive any communication from amazon regarding cashback. I know it will be credited in feb 2015 but there is now way to find out if the offer was applied to the order.
