I would recommend the Defy too but I recommended it to a friend recently and since most shops don't sell Motorola phones they told him that there is a lack of service in India.
Don't know how true that is but it definitely scared him away.
Thanks for the response guys.
I had a Duckback previously too but its almost 8 years old and has started leaking. I found some rain gear from Quenchaz through the Decathlon site.
I'm looking for a decent raincoat which can be bought online. I checked eBay but the ones listed there are too expensive (~5k) and take 2 weeks to ship from US.
Any idea where I can buy a decent raincoat online (which ships quickly).
Avoid the WAG 120N, I bought one a few weeks back and I'm not happy with it at all.
Very Low Wi-Fi range
Sometimes does not connect to DSL on boot
Does not display SNR / Attenuation stats so you can't see line quality.
On the same line the Beetel modem provided by Airtel was working fine.

My friend is looking for a cheap phone that supports Wi-Fi tethering (phone becomes a Wi-Fi hotspot and provides internet to other Wi-F devices over 3G).
Please advise.
^^ Latest firmware here too, still got yellow tint and banding. A nice picture of these features is posted on Engadget here.
You can clearly see the alternate light and dark grey bands on the notification area and its not like the banding is limited to the notification area, you'll notice it at...
Could be a bad piece looking at the way my luck has been going recently. I even got all the Super AMOLED+ features on my S2 (yellow tint, banding at low brightness) :@
I bought ScratchGard for S2 from eBay.in (550/- shipped) but can't recommend it. Even before I peeled it open I could see there were some dust / dirt particles stuck to it and its really oleophilic.
It turns out the window was already chopped up (and restored) for window AC so I went with a Window AC. Could only find 2/3 star ACs at Croma so bought a 3 star (according to the sales rep window ACs don't come with 4/5 stars :) that's why split ACs are there).
The 150 Mbps is theoretical maximum speed, anyway if you only have to share the internet connection N150 is more than enough. N300 will be helpful for heavier LAN activity like copying large files across your computers (gaming doesn't take that much bandwidth).
As much as I loved the first Starcraft game I think I'll wait till all three episodes games come out as a collection to purchase this, especially since we have to pay $$$ to buy it.
Seems like no one wants to sell Window ACs these days, I went to Adishwar, Samsung and LG shops and none of them had Window ACs (or any interest in selling one).
Can anyone recommend a reputed shop for Window ACs in Hyderabad?
I'm planning to shift into a new rented accommodation and install an AC there, the room details are -
1) Room is roughly 13' x 11' (including shelves / woodwork)
2) On 3rd floor (of 5 floors)
3) Only 1 window, south facing (no direct sunlight reaching it)
4) AC will be used around 6-7 months...
This phone's launch is turning out to be a bigger circus than I imagined. First the bulk order at XDA forums was finalized at 29.4k (kudos to organizers), then someone claiming to be from letsbuy jumped in by offering the phone for 28k without accessories if 100 people sign up for the bulk...
Well according to Samsung India there's no mention of NFC which could be an oversight (if you're optimistic).
They do specifically mention Super AMOLED+ and 1.2GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor (no mention of Exynos or the graphics chip).
