I had similar requirement and I went diy route with esp8266 and PZEM-004T. And finally hooked up to my MCB box and made it to talk to home assistant to log the power usage.
Budget came under 1k but had to put lot of my time troubleshooting and assembling it.
It's good enough for me. Samsung camera would be better if you need good camera.
I was also in dilemma to pick from Poco F5, moto edge 40 neo and Samsung A54.
I am looking for robot vacuum cleaners with do a decent job of vacuuming floors. I live in 1200 sq ft apartment if that helps decide battery capacity. I don't have carpets right now so those features for carpet does not matter.
It is straightforward. Install docker compose as described here. Assuming you are using debian based OS

I have ordered many times from IT depot and MD computers both and they are decent. But then I never had any issues with them so far, so cannot comment how they handle when things don't go well.
I am also looking for an alternative, I don't want to spend above 5k for a product without good reliability (breaks within a year).
Right now I am thinking to buy 70mai or get something more expensive like garmin imported.
Do not buy ddpai mini, it stopped working 7 days after the warranty period is over. I sent it for repair and they want to charge me 3k for the repair when the product cost is 3.6k.
