All true and great for tinkering/learning about computers. T490 only has one full size NVMe so there's that issue as well. I bought mine from Amazon and it's been working fine, paid 24k for reference (16/512/1080p).

I recommend getting a T490 or T480S, very similar but is slimmer with thinner bezels. Frankly, much nicer for someone young. Good luck! Edit: or better yet a T14 Gen1 AMD, 1080p if possible.
