Unless you plan on only using it once or twice a month for a few miutes, I would advise you don't go for the lite plan. The limit AFAIk is 500kb, whcih needlessly to say is pathetic. After that you are charged. Go for the full plan or don't go BB at all.

Basically the new Blackberries (8520 and 9700) = excelletn use of a trackpad, and the Nokia E72 = horrible use of a trackpad. The e72's trackpad is a joke as when yu scroll each flick only takes you one icon across.

AFAIK there's no news of updating the legend. That's why I think I am not alone in not going for the phone for lack of froyo goodness. Even if HTC does give froyo, it might be months from now (after all didn't the Hero just get 2.1? HTC Desire is supposed to get froyo sometime in June, so...

BB 8520 also had a manufacturing defect of types with the trackpad in that it's not very firm and jiggles about (which you will not see in the high-end 9700). Other than that lack of gps, expensive BB services (Rs. 1,100 a month) and low-resolution screen are the only major drawbacks.

No, not really. For the moment I have both Ovi and Nokia Pc Suite and somehow have to hope that one or the other will work for whatever I am trying to do. That is till I jump ship and go to Android. Nokia seems to me to be a sinking ship at least in the mid and high end phone category.

Ovi suite is a terrible piece of software.
