780G is overkill for you. Dump your 780G mobo and get a low end 690G/7050/NF6100 mobo for around 2-2.5K. Will save u around 2.5 K on the mobo price right away. Add that to ur 1.5K budget for proccy...1.5 + 2.5 = 4K, u can easily get a good Athlon X2 4600+ for around 3K, u have 1 K left in hand...

I've seen similar guns for those old cheapo console games which used to be connected to the TV. The ones that run on cartridges. Havent seen them used on PCs but.

Whatever u do, dont buy Onida. They make the crappiest TVs ever. Speaking from personal experience. I have a 29 Oxygen @ home - it has component input BTW :)

There's no X2 processor below 2K. U can get Sempron @ 1.4K and Athlon @ 1.75K. Below 2K u can get MSI K9MM-V which is a horribly outdated mobo..so pls dont buy it. Buy some NF6100 based mobo which shud cost u around 2K.

M26GT3-SVP shud cost around 2k only. I got mine for 2K almost 3-4 months back, so I guess it shud be cheaper now. Go for Sempron only if u really really have to be within ur 10k budget, else stick to Athlon X2. Deltapage lists igabyte GA-M61SME-S2 for Rs 2150. Check it out. Also dont ever get...

It's got the same chipset as the board u mentioned...NF6100-405. No need of separate GFX card.

dunno abt that...it's similar to sempron but with 1MB L2 cache instead of 256kb

I had assembled a similar throw-away config a few months back. Sempron LE-1100 (1600/-) + Jetway M26GT3-SVP (2000/-) + 1GB RAM. Runs surprisingly well...my only regret is that I should have bought an Athlon X2. Even if u say it is a throw-away config, still ur spending money on it...so when u...
