Boy! that's a lot of taxes. A ~5K selling at 7K! I'll be searching for some Mobos today. Will ask if 890GX is there. It seems that it can unlock cores with the switch of a button. I hope it has a multiplier too for those with unlocked-multiplier CPUs.

890GX has been released, though unfortunately it boards a HD 4290 @ 700MHz and DX10.1 It would have been great if it were to be HD 5200 :(

Are you sure about this? Isn't this built on the 955 BE die? I'm assuming by the clock speed. Or is it that AMD locked cores AND underclocked it too? Do you have any source from where we can check?
