Yes, I was using one of them as an external drive.

I have a set made by Xiaomi for several years, a very basic one. The ones they were selling here in India. Excellent quality, works perfectly without any issues till day.

Only works for hybrid slot. If the phone doesnt have connections to read the micro sd, nothing can work. These adaptors were common during the early Xiaomi days.
