Is this specific to opnsense ? Because currently I am using deco x20 as router and I only added PPPoE details and no VLAN ID and it works.

I think if your router has static IP then that IP, gateway, dns has to be configured else PPPoE. I don't think both will work together. Why do you want to dial PPPoE if you already have static IP assigned. @napstersquest Can confirm on this

I will go with M710Q with 6100T. FYI I want to downgrade from M920X with 8700T. Feels it’s an overkill for me.
