I need to upgrade to 1TB HDD 7200rpm 16-32mb buffer, any choices available in 1TB drives or largest available is still 500gb?
1 Tb drives: somewhere around 9-10k 
every company has one.
Not worth the price u pay for it;
Better go for the WD640GB AAKS for 4200 odd;
Buy a pair for less than 9.4k;

Why is WD less than seagate nearly consistantly across drive sizes ?
Maybe a higher % fail and therefore have to be sold for less.
Or it could be more down to earth, they are trying to be more competitive.
