Dont think ill be using it .. its still sealed with vat bill with 2yr warranty

Trying to compare with eBay India: 1TB Seagate Goflex Desk 3.5" External Hard Disk 3YR WAR (item 200538690535 end time 13-Nov-2010 09:00:00 IST) .. why would somebody buy an older model for higher price? Is there something I am missing here ?

there is a diff between a expansion and go flex drive .. chk the seagate website .. i do not know as i dont use external hdd s a lot . this is probably the first external hdd that i have bought .. .on ebay i see the expansion mostof them priced at 5k+ except for one priced at 4k+ i dont think its an older model

any other experts on TE can feel free to answer his question

Seagate Expansion is the one that has been in the market for quite some time.

Seagate Go Flex is newer in the market. But it does have the advantage of being USB 3.0 compatible using the optional adapter.

^^ GoFlex USB 3.0 or FireWire® 800/USB 2.0 adapter alone costs around 1.5k, and certainly not included in the box :face_with_tongue:
