2x 4GB DDR3 1333mhz SODIMM RAM

I am looking for 2 sticks of DD3 1333mhz RAM for Laptop. I would prefer new but used work too.
It’s for my GF’s father’s old laptop, which he refuses to upgrade.
The laptop is a Dell Vostro 1550 running windows 10 [for some reason]

It is currently running 4GB DDR3 [ 2x 2gb] RAM. I have attached CPU specs.

which

I am upgrading SSD and RAM. Want to bump ram to 8 gb [the max that’s supported by the laptop] that will hopefully make the Windoes 10 run better.

My father had a similar laptop which was Dell vostro 2520 which initially came with 2+2gb ddr3 of 1333mhz speed. I upgraded it to 4+4gb ddr3 of 1600mhz this year. I got them on amzn for around 1000. The multitasking somewhat improved with performance, but the speed was still capped at 1333mhz as the processor it had was i3-2328M, which supports a maximum of 1333 MHz speeds.

I later found that this laptop supports upto i5 3rd gen cpus so i was looking to buy used ones and found on eBay and after changing it to i5-3380M, the performance and multi-tasking improved significantly and speeds also supported fully to 1600mhz.

I will suggest that you, if you can, check out the laptop’s maximum processor. It can go up to and try to upgrade both the processor and the RAM. It will significantly improve things, and yes, if it has an HDD only or a very old, low-health SSD, then get a new SSD.

I am gonna upgrade from HDD to SSD. Cant mess with the processor as it’s not my laptop. Can you tell me which ram you get?

I installed “SK Hynix Hynix Hmt451S6Afr8A-Pb 4Gb Pc3-12800 DDR3-1600Mhz Non-Ecc Unbuffered Cl11 204-Pin Sodimm 1.35V Low Voltage Single Rank Memory Modulex”

The price is still in stable region so you can try getting it from amzn if you don’t find any at all from anywhere else.

800 for one. That’s expensive for such an old ram. Hoping someone has used one here but chances seem low

1000 around for both. It was 500 something each

Yep, I have two DDR3 sodimm but they are 2gb each unfortunately.

I have these lying around. The Green one is 2gb I guess. LMK if you need em.
