I hadn’t activated it before but it is possibly as good as it will get as you get 2 months free with the first month offer, although I am only using it on the PC. The actual charge is 59 bucks (+18% GST) and you need to enable international transactions on your card for the payment to go through as even though the payment is in INR, the payment gateway is not in India.
Also, cancelled the subscription immediately and it is valid till 6th of March.
Edit: I had previously used the GP for PC trial, so it is not only for new accounts. Will probably work for any account that has been idle for a while.
The offer to cover live gold subscription to 1:1 ultimate game pass is still on, someone I know just did it yesterday.

I think you cannot delete the card though as you need to have a card on account when using a subscription. But I haven’t checked it personally.
You can check the FAQ. It is specifically mentioned that any additional months over 36 will not be credited. I know of someone who previously mentioned that he had to wait a month on Live Gold before converting to GPU as prior to conversion he got a warning that he will lose a month on conversion.
How does the EA play add-on work in this case? My origin account and windows game pass are both under different email id’s. Do i need to log in to origin with the same email id as microsoft to play the EA games?
Even my Microsoft and EA accounts are different. Will try it later but the FAQ makes it clear that you can link a specific EA account to Game Pass, so it should be good.
I linked the Xbox live account with ea account.Still i am not able to get the EA play benefits that came with xbox ultimate pass.
