43 inch 4K TV in Sale

Members, my Dad (Senior Citizen) is looking to exchange his Pana 43 inch FHD for a 43 inch 4k TV, this sale. Requirements as follows -

  1. Budget : Max 30k
  2. Brands : Sony, LG and Samsung preferred. Open to other known brands based on feedback. He is looking at a VU model which I am not convinced on.
  3. Good after sales service. City is Kolkata.
  4. Loud clear audio. He is old after all so his hearing isn’t what it used to be. We have a Onkyo 5.1 HT but that has developed a fault.
  5. Ease of usage: Google TV interface preferred. We do have a 4k Firestick so can use that as well.

Please share your recommendations.

Sony bravia 2 55” is currently selling for 58k. But last year BBD i was able to grab one for 41k within the first 3 minutes of sale. There’s a 43” model as well, should easily fall under 30k and lesser with exchange offers. Just gotta be fast enough

I doubt you’ll get your hands on a sony tv in that budget but samsung and Lg should get down to 26-28k.
I feel sony is the best, samsung is decent. Don’t have an Lg tv so can’t comment.

have you thought about TCL?
Their QD-MiniLed TVs are good afaik from the reivews, but they start only from 55”

Why 43”? I think he might enjoy a larger size with older eyes. 55 inch is usually has the best screen area/price ratio. You can buy a cheap soundbar (can be mounted on a wall) which will be much much better than any inbuilt speakers of any TV.

No idea about after sales services about specific brand. But, usually once the warranty expires, you are on your own with these cheap brands. They almost never have any parts in stock in my experience with VU. Both times my TV went bad, they did not repair saying that the part is not available.

You can look at 55 inch TVs on Amazon. Almost all cheap TVs are made by Dixon Technologies or another similar company. If you want good after sales, you should stick to LG, Sony, Samsung (in that order).

Space Constraints. Cannot wall mount anything beyond that. Based on the viewing distance 43 is fine.
