I was in market (Bangalore) today for Intel 965 based C2D motherboard. However only Intel D965RY board is available everywhere and no other options.
Can someone suggest what are the Intel 965 based options available in Indian makrket and where do I get it from.

I suggest stay away from Intel mobo .. they are really troublesome .. from my experience .. i bought 2 mobo .. both mobo .. ram slot giving problem .. sent for RMA .. they send back saying its my RAM problem. It works for some time .. then again start giving problem. And bios is totally locked for you.
Get gigabyte 965DS3 ..i am sure you can get it there.
Any source in Bangalore.

Well in that case it must surely have been a ram prob or i should say the ram was incompatible or the mbb lot was bad…i can vouch for intel original motherboard…they rock completely…sturdy and rocking performance at the default clock…for someone who wants to overclock they can stay away…im sure many over here can comment on the performance of intel mbb’s.
As per the problem of un-availability on my visit to lamington with a pal…we were able to get hold of a last piece of D965WH rocking mbb try getting ur hands on the same if u dont care abt overclocking.
u couldnt find sp road?? its not that hard to find man. its bang next to town hall. Consider the MSI 965P Neo F if u want a cheap board otherwise look at a Gigabyte 965P DS3 or a Asus P5B
I think he meant that he has already checked at SP road and couldnt find the mobo. Hey I might sell my Gigabyte DS3 if I get a good price. I bought it in India and it has warranty. PM me for details if you are interested.

same thing happen to me first they check is and told NDF , but the problem was not solved , so i called up the intel CC and asked for a working mobo , so they told to send the mobo back ,waiting for the mobo

Also, where to source Corsair memory in Bangalore? Few shop I checked have either some D* or Transcend memory.
Check with Ankit Infotech.. He has ALL the motherboards.. Get kingston ram instead
Raghu’s selling his DS3 at an awesome price in the market section. Since you’re in Bangalore as well, I suggest you check it out (he’s great to deal with, and very helpful).
Just as an aside, I have a DS3 also - it overclocks easily (my E4300 runs at 3ghz without a problem), and is hassle free! (I’m not selling it though, just telling you what a good motherboard it is).
