ADATA vs Verbatim portable

I’m debating on getting either of
ADATA 1TB DashDrive HV610 USB 3.0 / 2.0 External Portable Hard Drive and the
[h=1]Verbatim 1TB Store ‘n’ Go USB 3.0 / 2.0 Black SuperSpeed Portable Hard Drive[/h]ebay + coupon looks good at

both have 3 yr warranty

Given that I live in Pune, whats better wrt warranty and RMA/distributor access.
Also on a performance/durability front, whts a better choice.

I know that Verbatim is a Mitsubishi owned brand, but not sure what kind of support i’ll get here.

Or should I bin the choices and consider something else ..say toshiba, hitachi? WD and Seagate seem overpriced.

The HV610 seems to pull in decent performance numbers.

Performance wise, it seems better than Verbatim. No idea about RMA though.

The verbatim portable i bought is actually a Toshiba disk. pretty good for copy paste since its usb 3. Coupons are not applicable on those hdd’s you mentioned. Look at listing carefully.

Thanks for the replies. Also called up itwares and learnt that ADATA warranty is handled by Accel Frontline in Pune. For Verbatim’ I’d have to send the product to Mumbai.

Actually there’s two listings of each, the cheaper one is the deal one and does not allow coupons. The coupon does more than make up the price difference.

@vicente - Buffalo 1TB USB 3.0 is available for 4.4k. I guess its a good deal at that price.
