I’ve started using google chrome from my trusted firefox.
The only problem that I am facing is that the absence of an adblock plugin does anyone know of such a plugin ?

Anyone ? No one ?
Not really a plug-in but gets the job done - privoxy
Still on FF but Chrome is much better for my eeepc. Ads bugging me, though. Any other solutions?
^ you can block them at the HOSTS level
or use Adsweep :
How to block advertising from websites in Google Chrome and Opera | Web Talk
there’s no such thing for chrome as yet cause chrome doesn’t support customization like firefox. So stick to firefox.
Use opera. faster for your eepc and has adblock
Better yet, use K-Meleon on any resource constrained PC. It has a tiny footprint even with 15+ tabs, uses the same AdBlockPlus as FF and is based on the FF/Gecko engine. Triple win.
P.S.: I still recommend Opera if you have a decent PC.
Use ADMuncher…Its the best… It works on almost every app that has advertisements.
go to Ad Blocker Software - Ad Muncher and check out the trial version.
It costs around 1K Rs.
I dont think he wishes to install a separate software
+1 for privoxy!
It is open source and really light on system resources.
