Ageia acquired by NVIDIA

Finally after months of speculations Nvidia Has confirmed dat it will be acquiring Ageia .

Hopeful to see a PPU core wid the G100 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

NVIDIA to Acquire AGEIA Technologies

good news mate.. thanks NVIDIA.. lol

atleast we dont have to buy a seperate card for physics processsing then:ashamed: , …a real treat to coustomer :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:  …as we will see in future a intgrated gpu-ppu product…and hope fully more game developer would incl complex phyical interactions…which means more fun :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: …unlike today where only few developers are using ppu functionality and in few instances…

Knew this would happen someday.Ageia wasn’t such a huge hit with it’s PPU among mass audiences. This is a wise move.Hope Nvidia redefines their GPU structure with Aegia’s PPU technology.

I don’t think they really needed Aegia as such, but they probably wanted some of their patents, and their SDK.

Still, DX 11 may come out and invalidate some of that, but they need to compete with Intel who bought Havok.

In other (not so well known) news, the creator of the CG programming language, an expert in GPGPU programming (general purpose GPU) has joined Intel… (Chaos, are you listening?)

Says Jen-Hsun Huang CEO of Nvidia, if they can execute it well would be some pretty intresting stuff, not only for games but as well as other applications requiring parallel number crunching…
