AMD Radeon RX 9060 8 GB GPU Tested In First Review: Chomps Away The RTX 5050, & Offers Near RTX 5060 & 9060 XT Performance For Just $250, But Limited To OEM/SI Market For Now
AMD’s recently launched Radeon RX 9060 8 GB GPU has been tested, and easily beats the RTX 5050 in games at FHD for the same $250 price.

Before we delve into the details, let’s review the specifications. The AMD Radeon RX 9060 is based on the Navi 48 GPU silicon and is part of the RDNA 4 lineup, so you can expect great RT/AI support along with the ability to run FSR 4. The GPU features 28 compute units or 1792 stream processors. And 56 AI accelerators versus the 32 compute units or 2048 stream processors and 64 AI accelerators on the full Navi 48 chip used by the RX 9060 XT. The GPU retains its full 64 ROP count with 112 TMUs, and clock speeds of up to 3.0 GHz on certain partner models.
The GPU comes packed with 32 MB of Infinity Cache while the graphics card holds up to 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, and 18 Gbps pin speeds across a 128-bit bus for up to 288 GB/s bandwidth. The card only comes in an 8 GB flavor, unlike its XT sibling, which gets a 16 GB variant.
The card is powered by a single 8-pin connector, & has a TBP of 132W. During the launch, AMD pointed out that the RX 9060 would be limited to OEMs and System integrators. This isn’t a DIY launch yet, so the only way you are able to get the card is if you get a pre-built, which is a bummer. AMD also didn’t announce the price, but it looks like we finally know where this GPU is going to land. For testing, the Sapphire Pulse model was used, which is a very compact graphics card with a dual-slot and dual-fan cooler.
