Amd x4 955 be querry !

^ Duly noted

Will revert ASAP Thanks for everything

Also which temp monitor are u using. ry Core temp, speed fan and cpuid hardware monitor…

^ recent ver of Coretemp,CPUID HWM ! y ???

also on some machines the temps shown in bios are high but the cpuid/coretemp/hwmonitor may report low temps & also vice versa.

i always had pcs with hi bios temps & low OS temps.

still as people around the world say coretemp gives actual figures so i refer that

^ its a Fact though, but to eliminate the source, i checked in both coretemp & Bios & didn notice anything unusual ! both read kinda Identical Temps .

Did, everything as directed ! & So far no satisfied results !
The Fan noise & Speed is REALLY WORRYING ME :frowning: !!!

Please have a check at the uploaded Img, & sorry if the uploading process wrong !

try replacing the HSF

… Oops here’s the PIC !

& IS a after market cooler really Necessary ???

have a look @ the fan’s RPM :(, 6026 :frowning:

CPU: -62 C at load. Temperature is not too high .IMO Heating is not an issue .Is ur cpu OCd ? If yes then revert it to stock and check.

Edit :-

Check ur cpu on other mobo .

^ Nope, CPU is on Stock setting :frowning: !

& i tried playing GTA 4 & after 5 min temps went to 68 :frowning:

Check ur cpu on other mobo . If it work well on other mobo then ur Mobo have problem if not then CPU.

1 Question : Is it common a HSF can hit speeds upto 5000+ RPM ??? ( stock HSF came along with AMD )

Not very common, but under stress tests, yes it can go as high as 5000rpm.

^ Hmmmm , well then why’s mine hitting that speed even under not so stress test ? like gaming for matter of MINUTE ? or even watching a video on Youtube ? i can audibly hear it !

can even be a faulty fan but you are lucky enuf to get a stock fan having 5000+rpm

BTW on my amd i’m using fan of my old athlon which does 4700+rpm & the default which i got with phenom does only 3000rpm :frowning:

same with my intel hsf…the original p4 775 does a good 5200rpm & the anything after that failed to go beyond 2800

Hmmm, & guys forgot to mention this, When i bought the CPU, it was a SEALED one, it was sealed in a BOX, but i didn get an STICKER ! Curious !

Called up the Shop ( Ashirwad Bangalore ) & he said, sometimes u dont get a sticker or the Manufacturer might have forgotten. Any possibilities ?

Strange …

^ is that it ? STRANGE ???

You can try reducing the vcore to 1.30 and see whether it helps to reduce the temps. Also dont forget to run something like occt to make sure the system is stable with the lower vcore. I have undervolted my 965BE C3 to 1.28 volts which keeps my idle temps at 35-36 and load temps at 45-46 with an average cpu cooler.

When i upgraded to 965BE C3 which was heating up and making the fan on the stock heatsink go crazy like a jet engine. I replaced the stock heatsink & fan with a CM Hyper 212 and temps were under control without much noise.

^ Thanks !

Mate can u help me out how to do so ? i mean reducing the v.core ???
