Need to buy phone for mom, budget around 20k. Comparing between Vivo X50 (great camera and good exchange price) and Mi 10i (camera reviews seem okayish, OOS as of now). I know mi 10i has better processor but probably it won’t utilized much except 5G which is make or break.
Any educated guess when 5g will be available for masses? Jio said 2nd half of 2021 in early 2020, but I’m not sure if its happening?
5G in Mi 10i is a gimmick, it supports only 2 5G bands compared to 9 in the Moto G 5G and another Vivo 5G which has 5 bands. Don’t buy Mi 10i for 5G.

Official rollout? As far as I remember, Jio was targeting it for q4 21. As always, 5G will be something like 4G+ with poorer reception, just like how 4G was 3G+ with more heat output initially. Current phones touting 5g are gonna be useless when the bands that do get used are going to change.
