My wife bought it back in 2015 from USA. Till early this year it was being used by her cousin sister and as she upgraded Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, the iPad was reset to factory defaults.
The cousin does not remember her password and the gmail ID used for making the iCloud account does not exist anymore as it was auto deleted by Google, why I don’t know.
So now I am stuck with a perfectly fine working iPad, but which is of no use as it is stuck as Activation lock. Is there any redemption for it or just have to bin it?
Try calling apple, give proof of ownership (purchase invoice) and all the details they ask.
