Apple has been serious these days, first M4 mac mini and now Macbook Air M4 at 1 lakh.
1 Lakh price is without discounts and there is no cost emi offer on top of that. Given the performance of M4 chip, I would say this is a good high performance laptop at a very competitive price.

Imagine offering storage in GIGABYTES in 2025 that too a proprietary chip, if apple need to be taken seriously they need to stop with the Anti-consumer practices.

Still 256gb base and basic 60Hz display.
13 inch base have 2 cores less. It won’t be able to harness m4 power for longer times due to passive cooling. Still good for everyday computing if you’re not into development work.
I’m still on a lookout for M3 prices to drop. Found nothing so far online. Wondering who would buy those outgoing models for high listed price.
Got sealed m3 air for 84.5K locally. I think you can opt in 24Months no cost emi on VijaySales then close emi early. It will be closer to 85 then

What are the specs for M3? M4 can be had for 77k (16gb, 256gb) with 24 month emi option, directly from apple India website.

I’d say, it’s better to buy without student discount if you have eligible credit cards (Amex, Axis, icici).
