ASUS S500SE Upgrade

Hey guys, I own an ASUS S500 SE desktop (SFF, 9 L case). Currently, it has 8 GB RAM (stock), no discrete graphics card, on-board Wi-Fi, a 500 GB NVMe SSD, and a 300 W (80+ Platinum) PSU.

I’m planning to upgrade with Kingston Fury 32 GB × 2 (3200 MT/s) RAM, an ASUS PCE-AX58BT AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 adapter, a Kingston 1TB NV3 SSD, and a low-profile RTX A400 graphics card (50 W) or Radeon RX 6400 (53W). After installing the graphics card, I’ll change the Power Management Mode from “Prefer maximum performance” to “Optimal power/Adaptive,” and I’ll use MSI Afterburner to adjust the Power Limit (%) slider from the default 100% down to 80%. What are your thoughts, do you think the PSU is sufficient and will handle things fine?

I have the same one on server duty, so no discrete GPU, but a 20TB drive, 2x16GB RAM, 1TB NVMe drive and a low Profile Networking PCie card. On default settings, the whole PC sips power at 28W, daily peaks at 65W on my average usage. Even works for hours after power cut, on the inverter. Never felt I needed anything more than the iGPU (which if needed, would have got an ARC A380). I have never had any complaints about the PSU. Unless you are actually playing games/productivity stuff stressing both CPU and GPU at the same time, the PSU should be OK. But if you are doing both, then I’d advise to get another with better PSU and better airflow.
