Thanks! I checked the price history, and it looks like this is the lowest price so far. I’m tempted to wait for a sale too, especially since it’s a new laptop. The price might drop even more.

why dont you consider the lenovo website exclusive ideapad pro 5, seems to be a very strong competitor to this laptop and you can customise it to your liking.. they also allow a bunch of student discounts and coupons.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve looked into some models. but , I didn’t find a comparable deal that fits my needs in that price range with the same specs.

I did check out the Lenovo Ideapad Ultra 5 (series 1) with a 2.5K display for 78k, but the Asus S16 offers an OLED display for 75k. Plus, there’s the Ultra 5 (series 2) 225H, which has a solid NPU and iGPU.

If you know any specific model, please share. I will check it.

Make sure to get 3 years warranty which incl ADP too for any laptop you buy nowadays. For asus, it is available on asuspromo.in website. For lenovo, option is there I think during purchase from their official website itself or contact customer care after purchasing from flipkart/amazon etc. Asus laptops touchpad quality is typically average at best.

I Just found that offer. I need to Build PC and order. It is costing around 79k. Similar features and Oled display. Now, You tell me what is Better option? ASUS Vivobook S16 S3607CA-SH071WS Oled at 73.5k with accessories from Offline store orLenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 Intel, 40.64cm at 79k (Without Students offer) without accessories from official site ( Delivery duration 15-45 days)

Don’t forget to add the cost of 1+2 years warranty pack incl ADP. For asus, it is available on asuspromo.in website.

For me, the extended on-site warranty for Asus is really worth it. About 2 years into it, and had 2 RMA requests done at home within 2-3 days.

One was for the WiFi card malfunctioning and the other time was a static discharge when replacing the SSD without disconnecting the battery, which fried one of the power capacitors, something I obviously did not own up to.

Just curious, how did this happen. I have replaced/installed ssd in laptops without disconnecting the battery & never faced this issue.

Thoughtlessly rubbed off a sticker that was on the shroud covering the SSD. Could instantly hear a pop.

Yeah that would do it.

Update!

I bought the Asus Vivobook S16 Ultra 5 225H with an OLED display for ₹73,000, which includes accessories like a bag, keyboard protector, wireless mouse, and mousepad.

I am also extending the warranty for three years for ₹3,000, which includes coverage for accidental damage, water damage, and display damage.

You can also look at the expertbook series. It is available on flipkart.

Where did you get it from? Also, get a good wireless/BT mouse because asus touchpad even in their zenbook series is just about average quality under best circumstances.

I bought it from a local store. Yes, I mostly use a mouse and keyboard; I use the touchpad and laptop keyboard only while traveling.

Thank you for mentioning the touchpad issue. I received reviews about the mouse from many users, but I needed a powerful device that is lightweight, has a good GPU, NPU, and good battery backup, all under 80,000. That’s why I chose it.
