ATI X1900 Series Overclocking Guide

You may think you are experienced, or have overclocked before and therefore may think this guide is of little use to you, but I would have to say that you are incorrect. This guide is for both the experienced and inexperienced overclockers. Some parts may be boring for those experienced in the art and they may skip to the highlights and key points of performing this task.

A few final notes:

• Temperatures play a huge role in the overclockability of your card, especially the RAM.

• If you are benchmarking, do not open “3D Viewâ€. Running 3D View seems to cause worse scores.

• Do not enable the CCC overdrive option if you plan on overclocking your card from ATI tool or AO.

• If you are benchmarking, do not set a high frequency right away; rather, set the clocks in increments of 15-25MHz, until you reach your goal. It seems that increasing the clocks right away in ATITool results in a performance decrease.
