I have been using it since past 3 years. Never noticed a single virus attack that could get past it. Moreover, i think its one of the fastest as it takes up very less resources. 
not me though..had a wierd virus n trojan on my system last week. was using nod32 trial but it didnt catch it 
norton online scan picked it up but who wants norton bloatware 
tried avg n antivir…avg failed..ut antivir passed..so antivir it is on my system till the next attack 
Free Version didn’t have Update facility what if new virus strike?
Better to use the Pro/Full version.
It does have update facility. And i daily update with a few small files.
hi friends,been hearing a lot ab. avast anti-virus.pl.i have already installed McAfee (paid) edition , but i have lost the password.my question is:-
if i install avast anti-virus , would in conflict with McAfee?
is there any way to retieve my oassword for McAfee?

Why not uninstall MCafee totally and then install AVG.
I think you won’t be able to install both of them on your comp.
both avast and avg are nice
